It’s been a few weeks now since Zaha Hadid passed away at a devastatingly young age but I keep sorting through her work and thinking about how achingly beautiful it all is and how we lost so much
I was lucky enough to see both her fire station (below) and her Cincinnati museum in person
The fire station was one of the first buildings built by a living architect that melted my brain and made me look at buildings differently
I also saw her retrospective at the Guggenheim in New York years later. Her artwork is overwhelming in person. It’s so full of movement and optimism (below from dezeen)
This one also from Dezeen. I mean these spaces are just almost not believable
Who knows what else she had up her sleeve? (Below from archdaily)
All that’s certain is we lost an immense talent (above from the guardian)
The photos blow the mind…I can’t imagine standing in the space she created.
