I like the outdoors as much as the next person by I sleep inside. Longstanding personal requirement. The kids and julio can camp if they want but I need some mental separation from animals and especially bugs. I like the idea of a modern cabin. 
How about this doozy? I don’t know if a flat roof is a good idea in the snowy Midwest but I do love the black and minimal rail and deck (via slate)
